Dr. Abdul El-Sayed Announces Endorsement from Pennsylvania State Rep. Chris Rabb

MICHIGAN – Today, Abdul El-Sayed announces the endorsement of Pennsylvania State Representative and PA-03 candidate Chris Rabb for Michigan’s open U.S. Senate seat. A seasoned legislator and progressive champion, Rep. Rabb has railed against corporate influence, advocated for environmental reform, and helped pass landmark criminal justice legislation. In the state House, he has represented 70,000 Philadelphians for five terms. This endorsement comes off the back of a major primary victory for Rabb, where he secured the highly-contested Democratic nomination for Pennsylvania’s 3rd congressional district, putting him on track to represent the historically multicultural and working-class district in Washington.

“From Philly to Detroit, voters are demanding bold new leaders with the courage to take on the billionaires and stand up for working families,” said Rep. Chris Rabb. “Abdul El-Sayed will fight for an economy and healthcare system that work for everyone, affordable housing for all, clean air and water, and an accessible education that gives all of our kids the brighter future they deserve. I am proud to endorse Abdul for Senate and look forward to building power with him in Congress.”

“Chris Rabb’s victory in Philadelphia was nothing short of historic. It’s proof that campaigns centered around people, not corporations and special interests are the future,” said Abdul. “Michiganders, like Philadelphians, need leaders who deliver, and I look forward to serving alongside him to do just that for them in November. I am grateful for his endorsement, and look forward to fighting together to get money out of politics, put money in people’s pockets, and pass Medicare for All”

State Rep. Chris Rabb joins a growing list of prominent national endorsers, including Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), Reps. Summer Lee (PA-12), Ro Khanna (CA-17), Rashida Tlaib (MI-12), Pramila Jayapal (WA-07), and Delia Ramirez (IL-03). Abdul has earned support from over 150 other national, state and local elected officials, advocacy groups, and unions, including the UAW, National Nurses United, Working Families Party, and more.
