MIKE DODGER: Rogers Refuses to Answer El-Sayed’s Call for Five Debates
MICHIGAN – Mike Rogers has spent decades in politics, but apparently he’s not interested in defending his record in front of the people of Michigan.
Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate Dr. Abdul El-Sayed has repeatedly challenged Rogers to participate in five debates across Michigan ahead of November’s election. So far, Rogers has refused to answer.
Instead, Mike Dodger is ducking debates and dodging Michigan voters.
“Mike Rogers is too cowardly to debate,” said spokesperson Roxie Richner. “He prefers to do politics in closed rooms with corporate lobbyists rather than under the lights in front of the public. If he won’t even debate in front of the people he wants to represent, what is he hiding?”
Abdul participated in as many forums and debates as possible during the Democratic primary, and has been present at over 500 public events to field questions from Michigan voters. Abdul has called for five debates giving voters across Michigan the opportunity to hear directly from both candidates seeking to represent them in the U.S. Senate.
