ICYMI: Abdul Slams Mike Rogers on MSNOW for Rubber Stamping Trump While Michiganders Suffer

Abdul El-Sayed: “That’s literally a stolen American dream, and that is exactly what Donald Trump is creating right now, and that is what Mike Rogers wants to rubber stamp.”

MICHIGAN – On Wednesday night, Dr. Abdul El-Sayed appeared on MSNOW’s The 11th Hour with Ali Velshi to discuss rising costs and Mike Rogers’ unwillingness to break with Donald Trump on policies that are actively harming Michiganders.

Abdul slammed Trump’s war with Iran:

“This is a war that Donald Trump came to power promising he would not fight. He talked about America first. This puts America last. We’re now paying more at the pump and paying billions of dollars for a war that’s unjustifiable.”

Abdul hit his opponent, Mike Rogers, for refusing to answer to Michigan voters:

“Every single time he’s asked, he does not want to answer a question. In fact, he’s dodging a debate with me on September [15th]. I was promoted by both our Fox 2 affiliate and by the Michigan Debate Commission, and he’s dodging it because he does not want to have to answer questions about things that make him uncomfortable […] He doesn’t want to answer any of those questions, but every time he’s been asked about the trade war, about the war with Iran, he backstops the president.”

Abdul called out Rogers for rubber stamping Donald Trump’s disastrous economic policies:

“People like Donald Trump and Mike Rogers and J.D. Vance-they believe in a small America where only some groups of people can thrive. I believe in an America big enough for everybody, an America of ideals, an America where we come together despite our differences, to take on our shared challenges. And right now those are gas prices we can’t pay. Those are the prices of groceries at the grocery store.

“Those are whether or not you can have your kid play baseball. I talked to a gentleman. He said, ‘You know, my kid might actually be able to go to the pros, but I can’t afford to put him in a baseball league this year.’ That’s literally a stolen American dream, and that is exactly what Donald Trump is creating right now, and that is what Mike Rogers wants to rubber stamp.
