Abdul El-Sayed Checks The Tape In New SportsCenter Themed Ad
Upon Further Review: Mike Rogers Is Big Pharma’s MVP
MICHIGAN – Today, the Abdul for Senate campaign released a new sports-themed ad, “Center,” taking a closer look at Mike Rogers’ record on prescription drug prices and campaign contributions from Big Pharma.
A former three-sport athlete who captained his high school football, wrestling, and lacrosse teams in Oakland County, Abdul checks the tape:
Rogers voted 19 times against lower prescription drug costs,
Rogers voted four times against the importation of cheaper drugs from Canada.
Rogers accepted more than $1 million from Big Pharma lobbyists—more than 95% of Congress.
Those are some rough stats! The ad will air during several major sporting events, including Lions, Michigan, and Michigan State football games, as well as Detroit Red Wings and Pistons games.

Voiceover: And now to Abdul El-Sayed!
Abdul El-Sayed: Here’s Mike Rogers lying to you:
Rogers: I’ll take on Big Pharma.
Abdul El-Sayed: Well, Mike, when I played football – we checked the tape.
Mike voted 19 times against lower drug costs.
4 times against Canadian imports he now pushes.
Took a million dollars from Big Pharma, more than 95% of Congress.
Those are some rough stats.
I fought for lower prescription drug prices – to lower your costs.
Worked to eliminate medical debt and reform broken systems.
I’m Doctor Abdul El-Sayed, I approve this message because honesty matters.
