Abdul El-Sayed Won the Debate
While Trump’s Rubber Stamp Mike Rogers said the last two years were “amazing,” Abdul laid out why Michigan deserves better
MICHIGAN – Following Dr. Abdul El-Sayed’s debate victory, Abdul for Senate Campaign Manager Alia Kapasi released the following statement:
Tonight, while Mike Rogers tried to make the debate about Abdul, Abdul zeroed in on Michiganders.
We saw Mike Rogers resort to lies and bad-faith attacks as a desperate attempt to distract from the fact that he is losing on every single issue.
We saw Dr. Abdul El-Sayed rise above those attacks and speak to the issues Michiganders care about—putting Michigan First, ending corruption, and bringing down the costs of gas, groceries, and healthcare.
For voters tuning in tonight looking for real answers to the challenges in their everyday lives, Abdul El-Sayed clearly spoke to them with his plans to get money out of politics, put money in their pocket, and pass Medicare for All.
In stark contrast, Mike Rogers spoke to Donald Trump, Big Pharma, and the billionaires funding his campaign with his plans to rubber stamp Trump’s illegal war in Iran and long record of spiking costs for Michigan families.
On November 3rd, Michiganders will have the choice between a cynical, small-minded future for America or an America big enough for all of us. And Michiganders will send Mike Rogers back home to Florida and elect a true champion for working people to the U.S. Senate.
