Dr. Abdul El-Sayed Statement on UAW Local 2093’s Bargaining Wins

MICHIGAN – This evening, UAW Local 2093 members in Three Rivers successfully reached a deal at American Axle. UAW-endorsed candidate for U.S. Senate Abdul El-Sayed released the following statement:

“Congratulations to UAW Local 2093 on their incredible victory at the bargaining table.

Not only did they earn their demanded $30 by 2030 but they restored the dignity to their members that management had long since tried to take away.

This is a victory for the sisters and brothers of Local 2093, the UAW, and workers everywhere. 

I was honored to get to stand with my union sisters and brothers who had been striking last Friday as they fought, and I’ll be proud to fight alongside workers across the state for better wages, better working conditions, better healthcare, and dignity for all.”
