Mike Rogers Supports Donald Trump’s War In Iran—Calling It A “Win-Win-Win” — As Gas Prices Spike To Over $5 A Gallon In Michigan And Record $6.54 A Gallon For Diesel
Abdul Says He ‘Of Course’ Supports Suspending Gas Tax—Calls On Rogers To Support Ending War In Iran And Trade War With Canada
MICHIGAN – Today—Mike Rogers is scrambling as Donald Trump’s illegal war has sent gas prices to over $5 a gallon in Michigan and diesel to a record $6.54 a gallon.
Amid Rogers’ attempts to distract, Dr. Abdul El-Sayed said he “of course” supports suspending the gas tax and called on Rogers to tell Michiganders to answer two critical questions: “So your turn: are you in favor of continuing this war in Iran? How about the tariff war with Canada?”
The following is a statement from Abdul for Senate Campaign Spokesperson Cole Wozniak:
“Mike Rogers has voted against lowering gas prices and supports Donald Trump’s illegal war in Iran—which he called a ‘win-win-win.’ So today, he is scrambling to distract from his record of selling out Michigan and dismissing rising costs to help his Big Oil donors. In stark contrast, Dr. Abdul El-Sayed is running for Senate to bring down costs and is committed to using every tool in the toolbox to do so—including suspending the gas tax, but most importantly ending Donald Trump’s illegal war and trade war with Canada. Abdul’s the only candidate Michiganders can trust to bring costs down.”
REMINDER:
- Rogers fully supports Trump’s illegal war in Iran that has spiked gas prices for Michigan families, calling it a “win-win-win” and that Trump was “absolutely right” to start the war.
- Rogers has repeatedly dismissed concerns about skyrocketing gas prices, saying “We’re gonna be fine, we got plenty of oil.”
- Mike Rogers claims “most Americans” agree with him that higher gas prices due to the Iran War are worth the cost.
- Big Oil and gas corporate interests have spent tens of millions to support Mike Rogers throughout his career in Congress and during his Senate race.
