A Jubilant Rogers Was Once All Smiles With Roop Raj As They Talked About Tonight. Now, Suddenly, It’s “Media Bias.”

MICHIGAN – Funny how quickly a “BIG beautiful Senate debate” becomes “media bias” when it’s time to actually show up.

Mike Rogers now says he’s skipping tonight’s debate because of its moderator. There’s just one problem: when that very same moderator floated the debate last year, Mike couldn’t have sounded more excited about it.

Here’s what MIKE ROGERS said THEN:

Roop Raj: “We are going to try to do a Senate debate at some point here and I hope that you’ll take part in it when we finally whittle it down to the contenders.”

Mike Rogers (enthusiastically, with a big smile): “The BIG beautiful Senate debate!!”

Roop Raj: “The big beautiful Senate debate right here on The Pulse. Mike Rogers, good to see you.”

Mike Rogers: “Roop, great to see you! Thanks for having me back!!”

Rogers Campaign: “Michiganders deserve to see their candidates engage in a healthy, fair debate — not one compromised by media bias.”

Apparently, the debate was “BIG” and “beautiful” right up until the questions got uncomfortable.
