ICYMI: Abdul El-Sayed Joined Michiganders For Town Halls In Saginaw, Grand Rapids, Ann Arbor, and Kalamazoo

MICHIGAN – This week Dr. Abdul El-Sayed joined Michiganders for events across the state while Mike Rogers continued to run from Michigan voters, local reporters, and his own record.

In Grand Rapids and Saginaw, Abdul continued his campaign’s “Shouldn’t Be This Hard” town hall series where he speaks directly with Michiganders on how Donald Trump’s disastrous economic agenda and skyrocketing prices are negatively impacting their lives, and what solutions he can help bring about as their US Senator. 

On Saturday, Abdul spoke with Michiganders in Saginaw about the challenges that young people are facing across the state.

Abdul: “Nobody gets hit harder than young people. Because It’s not how unaffordable things have become, it’s how quickly they’re getting unaffordable, and how much harder it is to get a job that pays enough to be able to afford those things.”

On Tuesday, Abdul was joined in Grand Rapids, by over 1,400 Michiganders for the largest event of the campaign. Abdul took questions from Michiganders about the economic challenges they are facing, and criticized the failed policies of the Trump administration that have exacerbated them.

In Kalamazoo and Ann Arbor, Abdul joined More Perfect University’s “Students vs. Billionaires” town halls at Western Michigan University and the University of Michigan. At these events, students came together to discuss the issues that impact their future, like the cost of living crisis, the scourge of money in our politics, and our broken healthcare system. 

All this comes as Mike Rogers continues to run from Michigan voters and local reporters. Just yesterday, Mike Rogers’ handlers blocked access for local news outlet FOX 2 and refused to let them ask questions of Rogers, who has a deep history of dodging the press and tough questions.
