Mike Rogers And Donald Trump Have Spiked Housing Costs—Abdul Has A Plan To Bring Them Down

MICHIGAN –  The following is a statement from Abdul for Senate campaign spokesperson Cole Wozniak following Mike Rogers’ press conference in the middle of the Lions game:

“You probably missed it, but while millions of Michiganders were watching the Detroit Lions win an overtime thriller, Mike Rogers was trying—and failing—to sell his housing affordability plan. Unsurprisingly, he didn’t mention how Trump’s agenda has spiked housing costs for Michigan families—from the trade war with Canada to the illegal war with Iran—both of which Mike Rogers supports,” said campaign spokesperson Cole Wozniak. “Mike Rogers sold out Michigan to corporate interests, then cashed in on a multimillion-dollar mansion in Florida. That’s the only housing agenda he’s ever cared about.”

Abdul has a real plan to put money in your pocket and bring down housing costs for Michigan families:

  • Make It Easier To Build Housing by massively investing in housing construction and streamlining local regulations that are making it way too hard to build anything in America
  • Stand Up to Greedy Corporations Pricing Out Michigan Families by banning large corporations that speculate on our housing stock from owning homes at all.
  • Pass Federal Legislation To Ban Algorithmic Rent Price-Fixing Software that allows corporate landlords to collude to raise rent
  • Pass A Federal Renter Bill Of Rights that protects renters from exploitation and clarifies the obligations for landlords across the country.

Mike Rogers is running to be a rubber stamp for Donald Trump’s price hikes:

  • Mike Rogers supports Donald Trump’s trade war with Canada—even though two-thirds of Michiganders oppose it
