Rogers Continues To Support Trump’s Trade War With Canada, Calls It “Necessary”

MICHIGAN –  New polls from CNN and Detroit News show the extreme unpopularity of Trump’s trade war among Michiganders. In both polls, 64% of voters disapprove of Trump’s trade war with Canada, including by a 5-to-1 margin of Michigan likely voters in the CNN poll.

Despite the clear opposition from Michiganders, corrupt politician Mike Rogers has maintained his unwavering fealty to Trump. POLITICO recently reported that despite all of the pain it’s causing Michigan families, Mike Rogers supports Trump’s trade war and views it as “necessary.”

“Michiganders can’t afford to pay for the vanity project that is Trump’s  tariff war, and they know Mike Rogers won’t say or do a thing about it,” said Abdul. “Mike Rogers is in Dallas instead of Detroit today because he cares more about serving Trump than serving Michiganders. As Senator, I’ll fight unfair trade deals that prioritize the billionaires and corporations instead of working people.”
