MICHIGAN – Dr. Abdul El-Sayed is willing to go anywhere and talk to anyone about the issues affecting Michiganders. Yesterday, Abdul appeared on both FOX News and MS Now to discuss the affordability crisis, Donald Trump’s illegal, endless war in Iran, and Abdul’s plan to fix our broken healthcare system.
On The Story With Martha MacCallum, Dr. Abdul El-Sayed joined FOX News for the second time since the primary. Abdul is committed to offering his vision of a more affordable, safer, and healthier Michigan to every single voter in the state. There is no environment he is not willing to wade into so long as it offers him the opportunity to connect with more Michiganders.

Dr. Abdul El-Sayed: “I love America. I know what America can do. I believe in American exceptionalism. So the idea to me that, somehow, we’re going to have to have a mediocre healthcare system when we are the richest, most powerful, most capable country in the world, that is a choice that we make. And it is a choice that we make to allow the CEO’s of healthcare corporations to eat first rather than to provide us the healthcare we need and deserve in this country.”
Dr. Abdul El-Sayed: “You got folks like Mike Rogers, who I’m running against, his argument is always ‘there’s a war for that.’ And you know what we end up paying for that? Trillions of dollars, thousands of lives of our service men and women. Lives that were lost on the battlefield, lives that are being destroyed because they are defending the VA as we speak. and we’re paying more for all of this in energy costs, more at the grocery store.”
Dr. Abdul El-Sayed: “Do you think that you are better off now, after two years of Donald Trump? Do you think that your gas is going to get any less expensive, do you think that this war is justifiable, or the tariffs in Canada? So I am going to have conversations with all kinds of folks. It’s the reason I had a conversation with your colleague, Jessie, a month ago, it’s the reason I’m sitting down with you.”
On All In With Chris Hayes, Abdul joined MS NOW for a conversation about building a politics that works for everyone, not just the billionaires, special interests, and corporations who have made life in Michigan so much harder than it needs to be.

Dr. Abdul El-Sayed: “I got outspent spent 11-1 in my primary… If you can’t buy attention, then you have to earn attention. So you gotta go everywhere, and you gotta talk to everybody… When you know what you believe, then you’re not afraid to go and have conversations with folks. But when you’re governing by talking point, written for you by the people who give you the money to buy the attention, and then you’re hamstrung, because you’re trying to say different things to different people, it makes it a lot harder to go out and have a conversation on FOX News.”
Dr. Abdul El-Sayed: “Politicians only really show up on election season. I don’t want to be that kind of politician. I want to be around consistently to be listening, learning, and speaking about what we ought to do so that if things are not working, then we can pivot and adjust accordingly.”
Dr. Abdul El-Sayed: “Donald come to Michigan. Donald, please, I’m asking you, come to Michigan. Clearly your candidate can’t speak for himself, he doesn’t have anything to say. Clearly you are the answer. And you tell everybody why they should imagine you on the ballot. So Donald, here is the gauntlet, here is the challenge: I think you are too afraid to come to Michigan because, you know, when I beat your candidate, I’m actually beating you. I dare you to come.”
