MICHIGAN – Today, Abdul for Senate released a heartwarming new video offering Michiganders a rare glimpse into Abdul’s life beyond the campaign trail, where his most important title isn’t doctor or candidate. It’s dad.
“You know, if I had one political philosophy, it’s what would we build if we treated all of our kids like all our kids?” Abdul reflects during his bedtime routine with his two young daughters.
“I had this incredible gift of a peaceful upbringing with a great set of schools, clean air, clean water. My daughters, for the most part, I assume will have those things. But not everybody’s kids will. And I think there’s a responsibility to be fighting to make sure that all of our kids have those things.”
With Election Day just days away and a string of polls pointing to a widening lead for Abdul, the contrast between the candidates’ closing messages couldn’t be clearer.
While Mike Rogers leans harder into fear and division, Abdul is offering something different: change rooted in his belief that every child deserves the same opportunities as his own daughters.
