NEW AD: “Abolish ICE” Takes Aim at Haley Stevens’ Record on ICE
MICHIGAN – Today, Dr. Abdul El-Sayed’s campaign released a new ad “Abolish ICE,” drawing one of the clearest contrasts in Michigan’s competitive Senate primary. The 15-second spot, produced by FIGHT Agency, highlights Abdul as the only candidate in the race to support abolishing ICE – a position he has held since 2018.
While AIPAC has flooded the airwaves with claims that Congresswoman Haley Stevens is tough on ICE, her record shows the opposite:
In June 2025, Stevens voted for a resolution thanking ICE for “protecting the homeland,” just as Trump was demanding that ICE dramatically ramp up raids, arrests, and deportations. Stevens has repeatedly voted to increase ICE funding by millions of dollars, and as recently as this May, voted to expand their investigative powers.
While Stevens has repeatedly voted to bolster ICE, Abdul has long argued that the agency is fundamentally incompatible with a humane and just immigration system and should be abolished.

Ad Transcript:
VO: Haley Stevens voted to fund and thank ICE.
Abdul: *holds up bags of ice* In Michigan, we know a thing or two about ICE.
This ice? Good.
But right now, our government spends billions on an agency that operates outside of the law to terrorize our neighbors.
Abdul: I’m Abdul El-Sayed, the only Senate candidate for abolishing ICE, and I approve this message.
