ICYMI: Corrupt Mike Rogers Looks To Get Rich Off Data Centers

Rogers Campaign Raked In Over $150,000 From MAGA Donors With Ties To Data Centers, Including Winklevoss Twins, Blackstone Execs

Rogers Backs MAGA Plan To Speed Up Data Center Development

MICHIGAN –  A new report by The Lever shows that Mike Rogers is looking to cash in on the data center boom.

Rogers’ latest financial disclosure shows millions of dollars in investments in tech companies that are benefitting from the data center boom:

  • Rogers “holds between $1.7 million and $2.6 million in companies” and stands to financially benefit from a “streamlined permitting process for AI-related developments.”
  • Rogers also holds “between $100,001 and $250,000 worth of Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust” — a real estate giant that is helping “develop a massive 1.6 million square-foot data center” in Saline worth $16 billion

The Lever also reports that Rogers has raised “nearly $150,000 in campaign cash from a number of individuals with AI and data center investments.”

  • “Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, staunch Trump supporters and investors in multiple AI companies, together gave $14,000 to Rogers’ campaign”
  • “Seven executives from private equity firm Blackstone donated $34,500, disclosures show.”

“Just like Donald Trump, Mike Rogers only cares about making himself richer. He’s running for Senate to cash in by letting Big Tech ram through data centers that spike utility costs and hurt Michiganders’ pocketbooks,” said campaign spokesperson Cole Wozniak. “Michiganders need a Senator who is willing to stand up to Big Tech for communities to have their voices heard when data centers try to come to town. Abdul has never taken a dime from corporations and is fighting to make life better for Michigan families, not the big tech execs lining Mike Rogers’ pockets.”
