Jesse Watters: “You Gotta Respect Abdul Because He Beat the Machine”
The ad will run on broadcast and cable, including Fox News, as El-Sayed makes appeal to voters across the political spectrum
MICHIGAN – Dr. Abdul El-Sayed’s campaign for U.S. Senate today released a new ad, “Ensemble,” telling the story of the son of Michigan who took on the political establishment and $70 million in outside spending to win the Democratic nomination.
The 60-second spot brings together voices from across El-Sayed’s life and career, including Michiganders who have seen the impact of his work firsthand, to highlight his roots in the state, his record delivering for working families, and his commitment to taking on a broken political system.
The ad closes with an unlikely validator: FOX News host Jesse Watters, who said following El-Sayed’s primary victory, “You gotta respect Abdul because he beat the machine.”
The ad will run on broadcast and cable across the state, including Fox News, as El-Sayed makes a direct appeal to voters across the political spectrum. El-Sayed has made clear that he’ll go anywhere and talk to anyone about how Washington’s broken political system has failed working people, including audiences Democrats often leave uncontested.
