MIKE DODGER: Rogers Continues To Duck As Abdul Calls For Five Debates
Rogers talks tough on FOX News but won’t face Abdul on the debate stage
MICHIGAN – More than a week has passed since Michigan’s primary election, and Mike Rogers continues to dodge Democratic nominee Dr. Abdul El-Sayed’s repeated calls for debate, even as local stations have reached out to schedule debates.
Today marks Day 8 of asking Mike Rogers to agree to five debates.
“I don’t know if Mike Rogers is scared or just rusty, but Abdul remains eager to give voters the opportunity to hear from each candidate,” said campaign spokesperson Roxie Richner. “As Mike’s keeper Trump’s approval ratings plummet, no wonder Mike would prefer to spread lies in friendly interviews than debate Abdul face-to-face.”
Throughout the Democratic primary, Abdul participated in as many forums and debates as possible, and has been present at over 500 public events to field questions from Michigan voters.
In the general election, Abdul has called for five debates to give Michigan voters the opportunity to hear directly from both candidates seeking to represent them in the U.S. Senate.
