Mike Rogers Dodged the FOX 2 Debate. Here Are Questions He Should Have to Answer

An Empty Podium, a Missed Debate, and a Mountain of Questions About Rogers’ Record That Remain Unanswered.

MICHIGAN – After previously saying he’d be open to a “Big Beautiful Senate Debate” on FOX 2, Mike Rogers didn’t show up tonight. Instead, Michiganders watched Dr. Abdul El-Sayed articulate his plans to bring down costs for Michigan families while debating an empty podium. 

Unfortunately, failing to show up is a longtime passion of Mike’s. He missed hundreds of votes in Congress, and in his last year in office, he missed 87% of his committee meetings.   

Tonight, voters missed out on a rare chance to hold Mike Rogers accountable for his harmful record as a corrupt, corporate politician who sold out Michigan families to make himself richer. 


Here are some questions Mike Rogers could have been asked tonight—and that remain unanswered:

  • You hold up to millions of dollars in companies that stand to benefit from AI and data centers. How can voters trust you to make decisions about AI when your own financial interests are tied to the industry?
  • Can you explain to Michiganders struggling with costs at the pharmacy why you voted nineteen times against efforts to lower prescription drug prices?
  • You called the war with Iran “a win-win-win for us” after you spent decades pushing the country towards war. Six months into the conflict, do you still feel that way? You also said you don’t mind authorizing Donald Trump to continue the war. Is that still your position?
  • Nearly two-thirds of voters disapprove of Trump’s trade war with Canada, and the state’s tariff burden amounts to an estimated $5,619 per household. Do you still support the President’s trade policies?
  • Donors named in the Epstein files have given nearly $4.7 million to your campaign and groups supporting you. You argued that some names of people connected to Epstein should be redacted from the records. Why shouldn’t their names be made public, and what do you say to Epstein’s victims?
  • In the biggest speech of your campaign, at Trumpapalooza in Dallas, Texas, you did not mention the economy once. Why did you leave an issue at the top of Michiganders’ minds out of your remarks?
  • Why did you vote against healthcare for 9/11 first responders nine different times? What do you say to the responders and families affected by those votes?
  • Why did you take your Florida mansion off the market? Are you planning to leave Michigan if you lose? Are your bags already packed?
