BREAKING: MIKE ROGERS INVITES DONALD TRUMP TO MICHIGAN
Mike Rogers: “Yeah, I think there’s a lot of people that want to hear from the president

MICHIGAN – Today, following an embarrassing debate performance laden with lies, stumbles, and fidgeting, Mike Rogers was asked whether he would welcome Trump to Michigan to campaign with him
Question: As it was pointed out in the debate tonight, you’ve pivoted a little bit away from the president. Would you welcome him coming to Michigan and campaigning on your behalf?
Mike: You know, when you look at the number of reshoring jobs that has happened – the Chevy Silverado coming to Michigan; Detroit Diesel adding a third shift; If you talk a lot of these, uh, the, these, uh, fabrication shops – which i do – they’re getting more work from it. They’re excited about what’s happening. The fact that we have a, uh,which my opponent opposed, the, uh, uh – the tax cuts! The family working tax cuts, that have overtime tips and Social Security – all of that was removed! I’m telling you, there’s three million families that are benefiting from that no tax on overtime, here in Michigan. Yeah, I think there’s a lot of people that want to hear from the president.
REMINDER:
Mike Rogers defended Trump at every turn, saying he would be Trump’s “backup” in the Senate even when Michiganders were hurting because of Trump’s reckless policies
- Rogers was personally recruited by Trump and is his “handpicked candidate.” He’s the candidate of “establishment Republicans in Washington.”
- Mike Rogers said he would “stand with President Trump” and be his backup, and was the “kind of guy” to help Trump codify all of his executive orders.
- Rogers claimed Trump’s tariffs were beneficial to Michigan, but Michigan was one of the top three states that paid the most in Trump tariffs, totalling $3.3 billion in a five month period.
- Rogers falsely claimed there was “no inflation” and working families were “not paying more” under Trump.
- Rogers said he did not “mind giving the President authority to continue” his war with Iran.
Rogers supported Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill,” which cut $1 trillion from Medicaid and threatened to kick 260,000 Michiganders off their health insurance — all to fund special tax breaks for multimillionaires like himself.
- Rogers praised Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill, which gave corporations $137 billion in tax breaks, hurt low-income families to benefit the wealthy, and put rural hospitals at risk of closure, which Rogers lied about repeatedly.
- OBBBA led to a $32 billion decrease in federal Medicaid spending in Michigan and a monthly loss of some or all SNAP benefits for 796,000 Michiganders.
- 200,000 Michiganders could lose lifesaving health care through Medicaid.
- Because of OBBBA, Michigan hospitals were “expected to lose $28.4 billion over the next decade due to GOP Medicaid cuts” and rural health facilities were “particularly hard hit.”
- Rogers has spread a “widely debunked lie” that OBBBA wouldn’t kick Michiganders off of Medicaid.
- Rogers falsely claimed that Michigan’s rural hospitals would have “adequate protection” from Medicaid cuts, which a doctor from Mid-Michigan called “either profound ignorance or a deliberate deception on his part.”
