NEW AD: WAR

Abdul: “Trump’s war abroad costs taxpayers a billion dollars a day”

“Our schools crumble, our factories shutter, our gas prices skyrocket. But when they want war, billion dollar blank checks.”

MICHIGAN – Today, the Abdul for Senate campaign released War, a new statewide television ad spelling out the disastrous effects of Donald Trump’s illegal war in Iran, and Dr. Abdul El-Sayed’s plan to reinvest our tax dollars in Michigan’s communities back home.

Seven months into Trump’s war with Iran, nearly two thirds of Americans disapprove of the costly conflict that has caused prices at the pump and the grocery store to skyrocket. For decades, voters have been crying out for an end to these forever wars, but politicians like Mike Rogers refuse to listen, writing blank check after blank check for wars that deprive local communities of the funding they desperately need.

Mike Rogers spent over two decades in Washington advocating for the forever wars in the Middle East, and has been a staunch advocate for Donald Trump’s illegal war in Iran:

Michiganders are sick and tired of career politicians like Mike Rogers wasting their tax dollars on forever wars overseas instead of investing in our schools, roads, and bridges back home. Abdul is the only candidate in this race that will prioritize spending Michigan’s tax dollars in Michigan’s communities, because in the richest country in the history of the world, it just shouldn’t be this hard.

Abdul: “Mike Rogers has been advocating for war after war my entire adult life. I’m running to invest our tax dollars here, in Michigan. Rebuilding schools in Michigan, rebuilding roads, and bridges and infrastructure in Michigan.

Abdul: Trump’s war abroad costs taxpayers a billion dollars a day.

On a war we have no business fighting

Our schools crumble, our factories shutter, our gas prices skyrocket.

But when they want war, billion dollar blank checks.

Mike Rogers has been advocating for war after war my entire adult life.

I’m running to invest our tax dollars here, in Michigan.

Rebuilding schools in Michigan, rebuilding roads, and bridges and infrastructure in Michigan.

I’m Abdul El-Sayed. I approve this message because it’s time to put Michigan first
